Hopefully, the Salon City website is an accurate reflection of the hard work, excellent taste, and personal commitment of its owner, Alicia. Their homepage uses flash animation elements to help the visitor anticipate the friendly, relaxed atmosphere that awaits them in what was once an empty brick building, but is now a beautiful full-service urban salon and spa dedicated to "revitalzing how you look and feel". Like Alicia, WGL is dedicated to playing a positive role in the continuing revitalization of Downtown Lowell.
Customer: "Websites for Greater Lowell took our website to the next level. The site is an excellent representation of the relaxed, friendly, professional environment that I strive to maintain at the salon. I receive many compliments about the website from my clients and have had clients choose to visit Salon City over other salons specifically because of being impressed by our website." - Alicia, Owner
Dental Solutions provides temporary and temporary-to-permanent staffing for dental offices. Visitors to their site can fill out an online application - Dental Solutions staff are notified by e-mail when a new application is submitted. After logging in to their site's administration section (accessible only to them), they can view the application and any attachments that were included (such as a resume). They can also mark the applicant as having been hired - after doing so, that employee will appear in the "available to work" list on the days that the employee has specified, along with the employee's contact information. WGL creates modular websites which can grow as our client's needs grow without having to revamp their enire site.
Customer: "Our website works great, looks great, and is used on a regular basis by our current employees and dental professionals looking for employment. The website is evolving as our needs evolve, largely as a result of Websites for Greater Lowell not only carefully listening to what challenges we face, but in some cases anticipating our needs and making appropriate suggestions." - Melissa Metzler, Owner
The Merrimack Valley Branch NAACP site allows for a division of responsibilities in maintaining the website. Site administrators can be given any combination of roles to allow them to add or edit events, commentary, news items, or to edit pages such as the about us page. The website design highlights the "Feature" images which are displayed at random in the left column. Clicking on a feature image brings the visitor to a story about the feature and from there to a full gallery of images. By changing the feature, the feel of website can be made to reflect another aspect of the group, the time of year, etc., without having to redesign the entire site.
Customer: "Thank you for your work in developing a beautiful website for the Merrimack Valley Branch NAACP. It is excellent and I am sure that it will be very helpful in our work." - Rev. Roger A Sawtelle, President
A great way to get started on the web is with a website like Electric Joe - a simple, affordable, business card on the web, which provides you with a "you@yourbusiness.com" e-mail address. At WGL, we develop modular websites - which means that you can start basic, then add modules as needed. We have over one hundred modules to choose from, including forums, events calendars, blogs, e-commerce, and advertisement banners. In addition, custom modules can be programmed, making the possibilities essentially limitless.
Customer: "Websites for Greater Lowell produced an aesthetically pleasing webpage that meets my needs. They were attentive to my wishes, enthusiastic about my project, and offered creative suggestions during its development." - Joe Bernier, Owner
WGL is prepared to do whatever it takes to get you online with as much input (or as little) as you would like to contribute. Take for instance, Work Force Resources - whose involvement essentially consisted of two spoken lines, "We need a website", and "Thanks very much!" WGL manages all phases of website creation - structuring how your content is managed and presented, designing your site's layout and graphics, and hosting your site on our own servers. The WGL servers are located at a world-class facility in Cambridge, MA at the intersection of several lanes of the fiber optic superhighway - a prime location on the web. From concept to going live with your site, we make getting on the web easy - and the modular nature of our websites means you'll always be able to take advantage of the latest online technology.
